This shows some dark fruit with plum and berry character. Spice and dried-herb undertones. Full-bodied, layered and very juicy.
The 2017 Goulée by Cos d'Estournel comes from a 30-year-old vineyard north of Cos d'Estournel. Composed of 72% Merlot, 24% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Cabernet Franc, it has a medium garnet-purple color and opens with pretty red and black berries, raspberries, black cherries and red currants notes with hints of dried herbs, damp soil and pencil lead. The medium-bodied mouth is refreshing, elegant, very soft and lively with loads of juicy red and black fruits and an approachable finish.
