Barrel sample. Darkest core. Expressive with dark fruit and quite a bit of toasty oak, quite cedary here. An interesting combination of juicy fruit and tightly wound tannins. The acidity is quite obvious on the finish so needs time to meld but it should come good as all the parts are there. (JH) Drink 2024-2030
The 2018 La Tour de Mons is deep garnet-purple colored, opening with cedar over red and black fruit, black cherries and dried herbs with a waft of mossy bark. The palate is full-bodied, firm and grainy with an oaky finish.
