Decanter 94/100

There are some excellent aromatics on the nose here, although the focus still takes you to texture and palate rather than aromatics. It has rich marmalade notes and touches of bitter orange which make this gourmet, but it's tempered by notably appetising touches of bitterness and a nice kick on the finish. This is an estate that produces great consistency across vintages and has done a lovely job with the 2018. Drinking Window 2022 - 2040

Jancis Robinson 16.5/20

80% Sémillon, 20% Sauvignon Blanc. RS 130 g/l, TA 3.4 g/l, pH 4. Barrel sample. Ripe, spicy pineapple. Deep and rich and generous with a nice grip to the texture. Lots of botrytis-derived almond-paste flavours. Richly spiced and just fresh enough. Slight bitter-orange note on the finish. (JH) 14% Drink 2023-2032

Parker 91-93

Lisa Perrotti-Brown. The 2018 Raymond-Lafon opens with intense scents of exotic fruit—pineapple, mango and guava—with a perfumed undercurrent of musk, allspice, orange blossoms and candied ginger. The palate delivers mouth-coating, satin-textured tropical fruits with loads of spicy sparks and lovely freshness, finishing on a compelling savory note.
