Jancis Robinson 16.5/2090% Sémillon, 5% Sauvignon Blanc, 5% Muscadelle, yield 15 hl/ha. RS 130 g/l, TA 3.6 g/l. Barrel sample. Smells a little of fermentation still - a bit like sake! But packed with ripe peach and apricot on the palate. Fat and generous with a touch of spice but not quite enough acidity for greater balance. (JH) 13.5% Drink 2024-2030

The 2018 de Myrat is pale lemon-gold colored with quite an earthy nose of fungi, chalk dust and tree bark scents with a core of musk melons and baked pears plus a waft of ginger beer. The palate has a beautiful satiny texture with restrained flavors and compelling freshness, finishing long and earthy.
