reviewsJancis Robinson 16
Floral and fruit-driven with crunchy fruit that has a touch of sweetness and a relatively light but fine tannic frame
James Suckling 94-95
Very fine, well integrated tannins with blackberry, dark chocolate and blackcurrant. It’s full and extremely racy. One of the finest second wines.
64% Merlot, 29% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc. 30% new oak and 70% from one year old. Dense and red-fruited on the nose with a concentrated mid palate. Impressive structure the finesse and elegance of the Cabernet really signs in this wine. The plum and generous nature of the merlot then provides excellent weight in the mid palate. It is a super elegant and well poised Tourelles for one so young. Elegant and finesse, grainy tannins there’s a lot to like about this wine
