James Suckling 91-92

A fine, spicy and polished Pauillac with a sleek and supple tannin frame. Pretty core of blue and purple fruit with some peppercorns and cloves. All in balance. 63% cabernet sauvignon and 37% merlot.

Wine Spectator 90-92

Antonio Galloni. The 2021 Pibran is terrific. Bright and punchy, the 2021 impresses with its purity of fruit and fine overall balance. Succulent red cherry, blood orange, mint and rose petal are front and center. The 2021 is unusual in that the Cabernet is especially high. More than that, though, what impresses about the 2021 is its impeccable sense of harmony. Pibran could very well be one of the under the radar gems in 2021.

Wine Advocate 90-92

Containing an unusually elevated 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2021 Pibran offers up aromas of dark berries, cherries, cigar wrapper and sweet soil tones. Medium-bodied, ample and lively, with powdery tannins, impressive concentration for the vintage and a penetrating finish, this is a terrific effort. William Kelley

Vinous 89-91

The 2021 Pibran, which contains more Cabernet Sauvignon compared to recent vintages, matured in 40% new oak, has an attractive bouquet of blackberry, violet petals and touches of pencil lead. This feels quite open. The palate is medium-bodied with a granular entry, moderate depth, light black pepper notes and a straightforward, fresh finish. Enjoy over the next 12-14 years. Neal Martin
