Parker 91-93Pale to medium lemon-gold, the 2018 Filhot offers a serious, confident nose of well-defined lemon curd, pineapple upside down cake and dried mangos with hints of cedar chest, Manuka honey and allspice. Full, rich and packed with powerful tropical fruit and spicy layers, it finishes long and opulent.

50% Sémillon, 40% Sauvignon Blanc, 10% Muscadelle. RS 125 g/l. Barrel sample. So much of that almond-paste character that typifies Sauternes, plenty of spice too and an oak creaminess. Tangy and intense with good freshness to finish. (JH) 13.4% Drink 2023-2033
