James Suckling 93-94/100A precise and focused wine for the vintage and for the chateau, with blackcurrant and iodine character. Medium body. Firm and fresh. Quite tannic. Very well done for the vinrtage.

An attractive wine, the 2021 Grand-Puy-Ducasse exhibits aromas of dark berries, sweet plums, cedar wood and warm spices. Medium-bodied, deep and layered, it's impressively serious and structured, with bright acids, powdery tannins and a penetrating finish. Under the direction of Anne Le Naour, this 40-hectare estate is seeing significant investments, and the results are really beginning to show. Tasted three times. William Kelley
