Vinous 93-95The 2021 Rayne-Vigneau is quite powerful and resonant in this vintage. There's a feeling of phenolic intensity that is almost reminiscent of a red wine, likely a result of very low yields in the field. Pineapple, dried flowers, coconut and tangerine peel are some of the many notes that grace the 2021, a compelling Rayne-Vigneau. Antonio Galloni *No Score. The 2021 Rayne-Vigneau was difficult to read on the nose, coming across a little primal at the moment. The palate is well balanced with a viscous entry and, good depth; pure and, again, very primal. This is one Sauternes sample that just needs further time. I will assess it once in bottle. Neal Martin
