Decanter 92Jane Anson "Love the poise of this wine, rich inky colour, plenty of grilled spice and floral character on the nose, opens to cassis and raspberry fruits, tempered by orange peel and pomegrante. The drama of the vintage is here too, with fennel, aniseed and rosemary coming in waves on the finish drama spice notes, along with a flash of heat."

Wide and structured red with a medium to full body and fine-grained, silky tannins. Lingering and deep dark-fruited finish.

Antonio Galloni "The 2022 La Croix de Gay is powerful and also a bit burly in its contours yet shows terrific depth. Dark red fruit, spice, leather, tobacco, incense and dried herbs lend a bit of complexity. The 2022 could be quite good, especially if some of the more angular contours soften."
