James Suckling 93-94Very tight center palate here with currant, chocolate and hazelnut aromas and flavors. Medium body. Focused and bright.
Decanter
Jane Anson- 92 - A shade lighter than many in the appellation, still clear ripeness to the plum colour, this is enjoyable, not quite as much depth as some but that actually fills a gap in this vintage, where there is a lack of unfussy, well balanced, good quality wines that won't need a pick axe to get through the tannins. Measured extraction here, raspberry fruits, raspberry leaf, tobacco, white pepper spice, sticky tannins but overall a feeling that they are not pushing too hard and rather sticking closely to the estate signature. Jacques Lurton heads up this fast-improving estate.
