Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW

Jeb Dunnuck 92-94 - The 2022 Château Larrivet Haut-Brion Blanc is going to be outstanding, if not more. Offering a vivid gold hue as well as ample citrus, orange blossom, mint, and some honeyed, mineral notes, it's medium-bodied, has good acidity, and terrific overall balance. Despite coming from a hot, stressful year, this is lively, pure, and beautifully done. Tasted twice.

Decanter

Jane Anson 90 - Luscious ripe apricot and white pear fruits, velvety texture, with plenty of concentration and depth. A gourmet white that has appeal but needs more lift on the finish, as is so often the case in this vintage. 70% new oak, 30% wooden casks, harvest August 26 to 29. Bruno Lemoine managing director.

James Suckling 95-96

This is solid with dried pineapple, grapefruit and apple character. It’s full-bodied with fantastic structure and depth. Phenolics are all there. Serious. 86% sauvignon and the rest semillon.

Neal Martin Vinous 91-93

Aromas of spices, lemon oil, lime tree, verbena, exotic, menthol and iodine introduce the 2022 Larrivet Haut-Brion Blanc, a medium to full-bodied, seamless and sapid wine with a succulent core of fruit and a penetrating, fresh and saline finish. This blend of 86% Sauvignon Blanc and 14% Sémillon, maturing in 70% new oak and 30% wood tank or foudres, is a strong effort.

Antonio Galloni Vinous

Neal Martin 90-92 - The 2022 Larrivet Haut-Brion Blanc has a tempting nose even at this stage, with plenty of lifted tropical fruit, mango and pineapple, not complex but you soon fall for its charms. The palate is well balanced. This is one of those white Bordeaux that is not intellectual, though you are not going to complain when it fills your glass, and you'll probably be asking for another. Antonio Galloni 92-94 - The 2022 Larrivet Haut-Brion Blanc is a wild, exotic wine. Passionfruit, pineapple, white flowers and tangerine oil lend a distinctly tropical profile. The Blanc is exuberant and effusive, a bit out of control, but in a good way.
