Curiously, the 2023 Sigalas Rabaud comes across just a little muted at the moment—no doubt, just a closed phase during its élevage. The palate is fresh and zesty on the entry with candied orange peel and quince. It’s not as dense or weighty as its peers, but it has plenty of energy and a long, spicy aftertaste. Fine. The 2023 Sigalas Rabaud is still taking shape in barrel, yet it possesses notable depth and textural richness, even in this somewhat unsettled state. I especially admire its dynamic energy and overall vibrancy.
